Effective: February 27, 2026
HealthExport is designed with privacy as a core principle. This policy explains how the app handles your data.
HealthExport does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. The app has no server, no analytics, no tracking, and no network requests.
With your permission, HealthExport reads data from Apple Health (steps, heart rate, sleep, active energy, and other metrics you enable). This data is exported as JSON files and saved exclusively to your iCloud Drive. The data never leaves your devices or Apple's iCloud infrastructure.
Exported JSON files are stored in the "HealthExport" folder in your iCloud Drive. You have full control over these files and can delete them at any time.
HealthExport uses no third-party SDKs, analytics frameworks, advertising networks, or external services of any kind.
The app uses UserDefaults (on-device storage) solely to remember your preferences, such as which metrics to export and whether onboarding has been completed. This data stays on your device.
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted here with an updated effective date.
Questions about this policy can be directed to the app's GitHub repository.
